This animated poster promotes the live broadcast of International Clash Day 2019 from Studio 9294 in London. The challenge: capture the energy and spirit of The Clash within a strict 10-second timeframe while communicating all essential event details to music fans.

Animated Poster Production

  • Produced a 10-second animated poster promoting International Clash Day, optimized for digital billboards and social media.
  • Collaborated with event organizers to ensure all critical information was included and accurately represented.
  • Synchronized animation timing with The Clash’s music for an immersive, authentic experience.
  • Developed dynamic visual elements capturing the punk rock aesthetic of The Clash.
  • Designed motion sequences that guide viewer attention to essential event details.
  • Ensured animations work effectively across screen sizes and display contexts.

Event Information Design

  • Communicated when and where to listen, including KEXP’s broadcast from Studio 9294 in London.
  • Designed clear, hierarchical typography so the event date (Thursday, February 7, 2019) and time stand out immediately.
  • Listed musical performances featuring tributes and sets by various artists.
  • Integrated sponsor logos (L’vert, MIJ, PSB, ACLU) seamlessly within the design composition.
  • Created visual emphasis on key calls-to-action to drive engagement and listenership.

Brand Identity & Visual Style

  • Developed a bold yellow-and-black color scheme inspired by The Clash’s iconic aesthetic and punk rock heritage.
  • Illustrated band-member silhouettes for immediate visual recognition and cultural connection.
  • Incorporated distressed textures and grungy elements to authentically represent the punk ethos.
